A well-established organisation based in Covent Garden is seeking an organised and proactive HR Administrator to join their busy HR team. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing excellent internal support across the employee lifecycle.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the HR function with core administrative tasks, ensuring efficient processes and a high level of customer service for managers and employees.
The Role
As HR Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR team, assisting with payroll processes, recruitment administration, onboarding activities, and general HR operations.

Key Responsibilities
HR Systems & Payroll
* Support the accurate processing of payroll activities in line with payroll deadlines.
* Maintain and update employee records within the HR system, including starters, leavers, and contractual changes.
* Act as a first point of contact for payroll-related queries, liaising with the finance/payroll team as required.
* Conduct regular data checks with the HR team to ensure system accuracy.
* Monitor the HR inbox, responding to queries and identifying recurring issues for escalation where necessary.
Recruitment & Selection
Support recruitment processes across the organisation, including:
* Coordinating interviews and preparing relevant documentation.
* Ensuring interview paperwork is returned promptly following interviews.
* Maintaining recruitment systems and tracking spreadsheets in an organised and timely manner.
* Managing the organisation’s external talent pool.
* Tracking recruitment campaigns and providing weekly updates on deadlines.
* Supporting the HR team with advertising roles and reviewing campaign success.
Onboarding
* Manage pre-employment checks through an online portal and ensure completion within agreed timelines.
* Conduct Right to Work checks in line with UK immigration regulations.
* Organise and coordinate employee inductions, ensuring communications are sent in advance.
* Distribute mandatory e-learning modules and monitor completion.
* Participate in face-to-face inductions where required.
* Work with the HR team to improve onboarding systems and processes.
General HR Administration
* Draft HR documentation including probation confirmations and resignation acceptance letters.
* Produce staff ID badges.
* Scan and securely store HR documentation.
* Manage HR inbox and phone queries, escalating where appropriate.
* Process employment reference requests.
* Take notes in formal HR meetings where required.
* Assist with invoice processing and payment tracking.
* Support the administration of employee benefits (e.g., cycle-to-work scheme).
* Provide additional administrative support to the HR team as required.

* Proven experience in a fast-paced administrative role, ideally within an HR environment.
* Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

* Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
* Experience working with Microsoft Office 365, particularly Word and Excel.
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
