Business Development Executive - Cardiff

The role: This is an entry-level position. No sales experience is required, but a deep passion for our brands and a desire to work with people are preferred. The role involves working alongside Regional Wholesalers and Pub Company Partners, focusing on account management to maximize existing relationships, while also prioritizing winning and developing new accounts. A strong candidate will be an outstanding relationship builder. Responsibilities include selling, supporting, monitoring, and retaining AB InBev brands within partner wholesale outlets and Pub Companies, along with commercial acumen and delivering KPI results, aligned with ten key principles.
This is a field-based role covering Cardiff (Postcode areas P10, SA, CF, NP, HR, LD); a current UK Driving License is required. Applications will be considered from individuals located in the specified postcodes.
Responsibilities
* Grow distribution, volume, profitability, and brand experience within a portfolio of On-Trade accounts
* Own an aligned territory with the opportunity to grow share, volume and commercial results
* Retain & Grow AB InBev share/sales within Regional Wholesale Partners
* Retain & Grow AB InBev share/sales within Pub Companies
* Develop knowledge related to brewing processes, beer types and serving to enhance consumer and customer experience on-premises
* Own annual individual customer planning, promotional evaluation, and customer sell-back
* Manage territory spend and budget
* Build strong relationships with Regional Sales Managers, key customers, and consumer groups
* Execute call cycles and complete routine administrative duties
* Maintain current knowledge of products within the category
* Build and evolve networks with other sales professionals within AB InBev
Who we’re looking for
* Passion for beer and the food industry; hospitality experience (e.g., bar work, waiter/waitress) is preferred
* Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, fast-paced environment; analytical with business acumen
* Excellent relationship-building and follow-up skills
* Highly enthusiastic, motivated, driven, ambitious, and resilient
* Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
* Flexible with irregular hours to be present during key on-premise periods (including some evenings and weekends)
