Job Title: Alarms System Implementation Specialist

Location: Salisbury, UK

Job Type: Full-time contract, 12 Months

Work Model: Fully Onsite

Summary:

• This role is required to maintain Client's safety, legal and compliance related activities. Client must urgently improve its alarms management model which will identify critical steps to protect against Major Accident Hazard (MAH) potential risks and bolster implementation of the Alarms Policy across the lab. The post holder will work with Client management to devise an implementation plan to include upskilling of existing resource to enable alarm management across the whole lab.

Minimum Requirement:

• We require an alarms specialist with proven understanding and tactical experience of EEMUA 191 who can adapt the site wide alarms philosophy and policy to the specific needs of high hazard buildings and facilities. They will be responsible for producing clear, relevant, and detailed working documents for each facility, enabling operators to correctly understand and implement compliant alarms management procedures tailored to their environment. The role requires someone who is highly proactive, self motivated, and capable of working effectively across diverse individuals, teams, and operational contexts.

• The work closely with Client management to design and deliver a comprehensive implementation plan that addresses both immediate and long term organisational needs. This will include the systematic upskilling of existing personnel to ensure they possess the competence required to support effective alarms management across the entire laboratory. This planned capability uplift is critical to establishing a sustainable, lab wide model that meets Client's safety, legal, and compliance obligations.

• Client requires a candidate with demonstrable knowledge and hands on experience of industrial alarm and control systems, including, but not limited to, Trend, Vista, Schneider Systems, EcoStruxure, and Saulter Systems. The individual must be able to interpret, configure, and optimise these platforms to support effective alarms management, ensure system integrity, and enable compliant operation across complex laboratory environments.

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Policy or Process Implementation background

• Working knowledge or awareness of EEMAU Publication 191 & Knowledge of DSEAR and HS&EP requirements - Desirable
