Industrial Temps are delighted to be supporting Royal Mail in recruiting multi-drop Postal/Parcel Delivery Drivers in Newtownabbey. If you have excellent customer service skills and want to be a part of a dynamic and growing industry, this position is perfect for you.
Responsibilities
* You\'ll start your day in the local delivery office sorting and collecting post/parcels to be delivered.
* You\'ll be given a hand-held device to capture customer signatures for deliveries. The hand-held will also act as your routing system, telling you where to go to next.
* The role will be physically demanding, where you\'ll be walking at least 8 miles per day. You will also be required to carry a bag that can weigh up to 16kg, delivering letters and parcels, with parcels weighing up to 20kg.
* Driving and on foot delivery will be required, and you will be required to push/pull a trolley during deliveries.
Skills and Qualifications
* Valid UK driving licence with a maximum of 6 points held for a minimum of 1 year.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Strong communication and customer service abilities.
* Ability to work outdoors in all weathers is required.
* Previous delivery or driving experience preferred but not mandatory.
