Due to internal promotion, we are currently looking to recruit a Senior Emotional Wellbeing Coordinator to join our dedicated team of professionals.
The Senior Emotional Wellbeing Coordinator will be responsible for managing a team of Emotional Wellbeing Coordinators to support and deliver learning activities for individual and targeted groups of students, aiming to improve students’ attitudes, attendance, and achievement.
Core Purpose
* Encourage the inclusion of students by using positive management techniques designed to develop their ability to regulate their own emotions.
* Work with the Head of Therapeutic Provision and Head of Statutory Provision to provide effective family intervention.
* Undertake home visits when appropriate during term and holiday time.
* Monitor and manage recording and follow-up of critical incidents on CPOMs.
* Manage the team of Emotional Wellbeing Coordinators and ensure delivery of effective interventions for identified students.
Duties
* Produce resources for students, foundation, and hub to support SEMH programmes and whole foundation positive regulation systems.
* Participate in the evaluation and review of support strategies in conjunction with emotional wellbeing staff and foundation staff.
* Attend relevant meetings and in-service training provided by the Foundation.
* Consult with parents regarding student support and respond to critical incidents.
* Monitor and evaluate reports recorded on CPOMs to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
* Follow up on actions from critical incidents, ensuring policies and procedures are implemented.
* Be a strong role model for emotional regulation and language.
* Collaborate with the HoTP to plan and implement interventions that enable students to overcome obstacles, maximizing their progress.
* Promote mental wellbeing of students and staff, ensuring it is central to all actions.
* Provide support, guidance, and advice to families.
* Identify at-risk pupils or those showing signs of mental health issues.
* Develop relationships with families and set up interventions.
* Establish a support system encouraging communication between home and the foundation.
* Organize home visits during holidays to facilitate smooth transitions.
* Liaise with the Designated Safeguarding Lead regularly and participate in safeguarding team activities.
* Undertake Level 3 safeguarding training.
Person Specification:Applicants should demonstrate empathy for young people, have experience with family liaison or in an emotional support setting, and hold a Level 2 qualification in maths and English or be willing to attain these qualifications.
IMPORTANT: Applicants must have held a valid UK driving license for at least two years, be willing to hold business insurance, and drive on behalf of the organization.
