Job Description:

Walliscote Primary School is looking for an assistant headteacher who will be responsible for inclusion at the school including the SENDCo role.

Hours: 06 FTE

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced leader to join our vibrant and inclusive primary school community. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed professional to lead and develop SEND and EAL provision across the school, ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive.

You will need to be:

•Someone who is passionate about inclusion and has high aspirations for all pupils

• Can support develop an inclusive culture within the school

• Be responsible for the strategic development of SEND provision in the school.

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and coordinate provision for pupils with SEND.

• Work closely with pupils, staff, families, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for all learners.

• Lead and support staff in identifying, assessing, and meeting the needs of pupils with SEND.

• Monitor and track the progress of SEND pupils and contribute to whole-school development plans.

• Lead, develop, and implement an effective EAL strategy across the school.

• Assess the language needs of EAL pupils and coordinate targeted support programmes.

• Model high-quality EAL teaching and provide professional development for staff.
