We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Business & Partnerships Lead to drive forward Newground Together’s Business & Partnership strategy. In this pivotal role, you’ll collaborate with teams across Employment, Skills, Youth, Community, and Great Outdoors to build strong partnerships and develop impactful opportunities.You’ll lead and manage our Business & Partnerships team, forging meaningful relationships with local employers to unlock job vacancies, apprenticeships, training, and work placements. By providing valuable local labour market insights, you’ll help shape our employment and skills initiatives to match evolving community needs.

Requirements
Outline of key responsibilities for the Business & Partnerships lead…
* To lead the delivery and implementation of the business and partnerships strategy for Newground Together.
* To lead the development of partnerships, relationships & opportunities for Newground Together, through line management of the Business & Partnerships Officer and wider team at Newground Together.
* To Lead the development of the employer engagement and utilise new and exciting ways of engaging with businesses and partners.
* Develop and manage influential relationships with Employer newtorks, events, networking and key local and regional stakeholders.
* Develop and manage effective delivery of employer Programmes and engagement activity and liaise with our Newground Together team to organise and manage appropriate training, induction and recruitment events to link vacancies with candidates, in partnership with businesses and working with the employment and Skills People Team.
* Engage and influence local businesses to leverage work experience, apprenticeships, traineeships and supported employment opportunities for Newground Together participants.
* Work effectively with the Newground Together team to ensure participants development routes are appropriate for the opportunities being brokered and aligned to labour market opportunities.
* To assist in the delivery of new and existing projects that progress the organisational objectives in relation to social value and procurement.
* Promote our Newground Together offer to THG, partners, stakeholders and local businesses.
* Build and maintain strong links and working relationships with relevant statutory and non-statutory organisations.
* To engage with local business and employers to understand business needs and promote our client base and services
We are looking for someone who has…
* A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Able to promote equality and diversity
* Competent in use of Microsoft Office tools (including Excel, MS Teams, Outlook and word), CRM systems and databases.
* Experience leading teams or managing staff.
* Proven ability to develop and implement strategy.
* Experience of building strategic relationships with senior stakeholders.
* Track record of securing business and partnership agreements
