An opportunity has arisen at The Crossways Schools for a reliable and flexible lead caretaker to join our team, who is keen to make a difference and assist with maintaining the premises and grounds to a high standard. This role would be 25 hours per week with a suggested work pattern of 6.30am - 11.30am but we can be flexible with this for the right candidate. This is an all year round role.
Job overview
As a key part of our site team, you’ll have responsibility for general site maintenance, using a varied skillset to carry out tasks such as fire testing and inspections to meet H&S compliance, refilling consumables, painting and decorating and manual handling, as well as ensuring the site is in a good condition for all to work and learn effectively.
Job requirements
1. Good standard of maintenance and DIY experience with an understanding of health and safety parameters
2. Experience of working within an operational environment to provide day-to-day maintenance support
3. Ability to prioritise and plan own workload
