Waste Strategy Adviser
Location: Forrest Street Depot, 18 Forrest Street, Blantyre, G72 0JP
Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday – Thursday 8:45am – 4:45pm; Friday 8:45am – 4:15pm)
Salary: £52,922 – £57,885 per annum
Key responsibilities: The Waste Strategy Adviser will develop, manage and deliver large-scale projects to transform household waste services in South Lanarkshire. Projects will be delivered on time and budget, collaborating with partners to achieve transformational change, efficiency gains and service improvement.
Qualifications: Applicants must have in-depth knowledge of the waste sector, excellent communication, report writing and IT skills. A formal project management qualification, experience delivering large-scale public‑sector procurement and/or service‑wide change projects is desirable. Applicants should have a track record in problem solving and delivering projects to tight deadlines.
