Job Description

The Area Sales Manager – South Region – will be responsible for driving sales growth within a designated territory. This role involves visiting customers, understanding their needs, selling our solutions to meet their requirements and becoming a trusted advisor. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for building lasting customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

* Visit customers regularly to thoroughly understand their business and how Beninca can help them meet their goals.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
* Put together a territory plan that highlights existing and new opportunities. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory.
* Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to customers.
* Negotiate contracts (pricing) that provide a win/win strong relationship.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
* Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues.
* Represent the Beninca brand to the highest possible professional standards both externally and internally.
* Determined and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
* Good Communication Skills: Ability to clearly convey information and engage with customers effectively.
* Strong Negotiation Skills: Capable of negotiating terms and closing sales deals.
* Customer Relationship Management: Proficient in building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
* Time Management: Efficient in managing time and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and provide effective solutions.
* Self-Motivation: Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Adaptability: Flexible and able to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
* Resilience: Able to comfortably engage with all levels of the organisation, from operators to the managing director.
* Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM software and other sales tools.

Qualifications

* Sales Experience: Proven experience in sales, preferably in a field sales role.
* Driving License: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
* Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse sales data and market trends to inform strategies.
* Presentation Skills: Proficient in delivering product presentations and demonstrations, tailored to the audience’s needs, both in person and through digital media platforms.
* Desired but not essential; Industry knowledge: Familiarity with the industry and products being sold.
* A full clean UK driving license.

Desired Skills

* Experience with Sage Line 50 or similar accounting software
* Familiarity with Salesforce CRM or equivalent

Work location Working from home, with visits to the office (RG14 5RL) when required. Externally based, visiting new and existing clients in a defined sales region.

Reporting to General Manager

Salary Competitive basic salary with attractive OTE (quarterly bonuses/commission). Depending on experience.
