• Gain hands‑on experience in secondary school classrooms before committing to teacher training.
• Help students overcome barriers to learning and develop confidence in Maths.
• Work closely with experienced teachers, SEN professionals, and pastoral teams.
• Develop valuable skills in communication, leadership, behaviour management, and mentoring.
• Make a lasting impact on students' academic progress and personal development.
• Strengthen applications for PGCE courses, teacher training programmes, and postgraduate study.

• Deliver engaging one‑to‑one and small‑group Maths interventions.
• Support students in developing numeracy, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
• Motivate and encourage learners who may lack confidence in Maths.
• Build positive relationships that promote engagement, attendance, and achievement.
• Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
• Work alongside teaching staff to implement tailored support strategies.
• Track progress and celebrate student successes.

• A Maths graduate (or hold a closely related degree).
• Passionate about education and supporting young people.
• Confident, resilient, and able to build rapport with students.
• A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Patient, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, youth work, or a related field.
