About the Role
Teach Now is recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire from September 2026. This is a long-term, full-time role supporting a Year 6 class, with a focus on helping pupils succeed academically while preparing confidently for their transition to secondary school.
You will play a key role in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, working closely with teaching staff and providing both general classroom support and targeted SEN assistance.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide general classroom support within a Year 6 setting
• Deliver and support small group interventions
• Offer 1:1 SEN support for a designated pupil
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCo
• Support pupils academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and confidence
• Help create a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
About You
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is:
• Calm, patient, and resilient, with a nurturing approach
• Experienced working with primary-aged pupils (KS2 or Year 6 preferred)
• Knowledgeable or experienced in SEN support, particularly 1:1
• A strong communicator who can build relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Adaptable, proactive, and positive in supporting learning
• Respectful and comfortable working within a Jewish school environment
• Ideally a driver with access to a car (due to limited public transport)
