Water Sampler / Environmental Technician The Water Sampler / Environmental Technician will join a team tasked with monitoring trade effluent discharges and sampling activities to meet the requirements of the Company and regulatory standards. You will join a team who are responsible for the collection of all types of samples from industrial premise throughout Northern Ireland. You will be responsible for the planning your daily route and ensuring the delivery of samples in a timely and professional manner. You will manage and carry out the process of gathering samples for regulatory and operational purposes including the undertaking of some field-testing activities. Location - Province Wide Duration - 12months initially (immediate start) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: As a member of the Water & Environment Team you will undertake the following duties: Ability to follow procedures to the exacting standards demanded by the scientific team and Environmental Project Manager Coordinating and programming sampling for own personal workload to ensure sample compliance and to meet deadlines with regard to return of water samples to laboratories for analysis. Liaison with Management Teams including Scientific Services to meet the requirements to deliver an ongoing programme of sampling. A good geographical knowledge of Mid Ulster. GIS Skills will be advantageous. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to keep accurate records Excellent customer service skills with the ability to act with tact and diplomacy KEY ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs and exhibit in developing a career within environmental / scientific discipline. Some previous customer service experience and knowledge of meeting customers face-to-face in a positive manner. Completion of all paperwork associated with sample collection and use of electronic devices to record data as required. Full UK Driving License As Water Sampler / Environmental Technician, you will also be an excellent team player with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
