About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Middlesbrough. You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students in both English Language and Literature through dynamic and engaging lessons that build confidence and a lifelong love for reading and writing.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
* Prepare students for GCSE exams, maintaining strong academic standards.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of a creative and challenging English curriculum.
* Monitor student progress, implementing interventions where needed.
* Create a positive, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student development.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Solid understanding of English Language and Literature.
* Experience teaching English within a secondary school.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Desirable:
* Experience teaching A-Level English.
* Proven record of improving outcomes at KS4.
* Involvement in extracurricular English activities (e.g., debating, creative writing, drama).
