Physiotherapy Clinical Lead

Theteams operate 7 days a week between the hours of 07.30- 18.30 shift timesare variable, i.e. 07:30 15.30, 08:30 16:40, 10:30 18.30,You will be supported to work flexibly within these hours.
This post is permanent for 25.5 hours per week.

You will be involved in team meetings, clinical audit, staffmanagement and team development. Working with the team leaders, your input is avaluable part of the teams work.
Main duties of the job
What will I be doing?
Yourtypical working day will include coordinating and supporting the Wyre Forestand your owncaseload, you will triage and allocate planned and unplanned visit requests forphysiotherapy interventions. You will clinically supervise the Wyre ForestPhysiotherapy integrated team and support the clinical overview of theintegrated work across the Neighbourhood teams.
This mayinvolve urgent response assessment as part of the teams admission avoidanceremit, supporting complex hospital discharges including trauma and orthopaedicbrace management and planning domiciliary interventions to facilitateindependent living. You will work alongside nursing and OT colleagues in thesame team. The role includes clinically supporting the workforce, mentoring newand existing staff, supporting with complex clinical issues and supportingoperational delivery of the service.
Also to include mentoring student physiosand as we have close links with Worcester and Birmingham universities insupport of these student placements.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Excellent knowledge of physiotherapy in relevant areas
Skills & Abilities
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats
Qualifications
* Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy
* HPC registration
* Evidence of relevant post graduate courses / CPD maintained in portfolio
Experience
* Significant post graduate experience including work in a variety of specialities
* Experience of supervision of junior staff or students
* Experience of delegation to qualified / unqualified staff
* Experience of audit
* Experience within relevant clinical field
Additional criteria
* Confident and enthusiastic.
* Reliable and flexible.
* Commitment to personal and team development.
* Able to meet the travel requirements of the role
