Overview
The non-ionising section of Radiology Physics provides clinical and non-clinical scientific and technical services in diagnostic radiology physics and expert advice on the ionising radiation protection of patients, staff and the general public to the Trust and to client health care organisations throughout Warwickshire and Northamptonshire.
Responsibilities
* Provide scientific and technical advice in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, lasers and ultraviolet radiation to ensure that NHS Trusts and other organisations can image and treat patients effectively and safely.
* Develop protocols, contribute to teaching, conduct QA and safety audits, and participate in research related to non-ionising radiology physics.
Qualifications and requirements
* HCPC registration is preferred; candidates who are close to achieving state registration will be considered for appointment at a lower grade in the first instance.
* A full UK driving licence is essential; international driving licences are not accepted.
* Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report from a UK occupational health provider or UK GP.

* The successful candidate will join a team of Clinical Scientists and Technicians led by a Consultant Clinical Scientist.
