James Dyson Foundation Education and Outreach Specialist
The James Dyson Foundation, Dyson's international charity, aims to inspire the next generation of engineers. The Foundation provides free educational resources and workshops to schools and supports university students through the James Dyson Award. The Foundation is based at the Weybourne Group Office on the Dyson campus in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, with representatives in the US, Singapore and Malaysia.
Weybourne Group is the holding company for Dyson Technology Ltd, Dyson Farming and other interests. The Group manages a broad portfolio across sectors including farming, financial and commercial property investments, and residential property. The team comprises around 85 employees across various functions. Weybourne Group operates in the UK and Singapore.

Purpose Of The Position
We are looking for an Education and Outreach Specialist to join the James Dyson Foundation; someone motivated to inspire the next generation of engineers through hands-on outreach strategies and to engage and motivate young people and educators across the UK.
The Education and Outreach Specialist will focus on the following areas:
* Manage and implement the Foundation’s presence at key STEM events throughout the year, including sourcing and managing equipment, completing risk assessments and sourcing volunteers.
* Seek opportunities for the Foundation to share information about its work and educational resources and workshops with teachers through hands-on sessions.
* Lead on the continued implementation of the Foundation’s educational resources globally, creating frameworks to track the success of each resource.
* Work with key stakeholders to manage ongoing relationships and support with events or funding opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
* Manage the Foundation’s attendance at STEM events across the Southwest of the UK.
* Implement in-school workshops across the Southwest of the UK.
* Engage Dyson and Weybourne people to volunteer at events and workshops.
* Oversee the Foundation’s educational resources, maintaining the existing UK offering and collaborating with the global team to deliver resources globally.
* Create frameworks to track the success of outreach and resources.
* Identify opportunities to develop existing resources and create new resources.
* Deliver teacher training sessions across the UK.
* Manage relationships with key STEM partners.
* Manage the Foundation’s bursary programmes.
Knowledge and Qualifications
* Bachelors degree required.
* Experience in an education role (e.g., teaching, work or volunteering for an education non-profit).
* Develop expansive knowledge of STEAM education in the UK and a network of contacts in engineering education.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational and planning skills.
* Ability to balance multiple projects and administrative duties; ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Understanding of the UK education system; computer literacy (Outlook, Excel, Word).
* A strong interest in engineering education and in the James Dyson Foundation’s mission; proactive and creative with a willingness to improve.
Administrative and Other Duties
* Support charity administration including correspondence, payments and donations; manage payroll giving.
* Manage all administrative tasks associated with delivering events, workshops and resources, including risk assessments.
