As a Casual Airport Refueller, you will support our existing Airport Fuel team on a flexible basis in carrying out aircraft refuelling from mobile fuel bowsers within a busy airport environment to various aircraft types, from light general aviation aircraft to larger jet aircraft including BAe 146 and business jets. Your primary duties include:
* Ensuring safe airport refuelling operations.
* Ensuring compliance with the Aerodrome Licence, including CAP 168, relevant sections of the ANO related to the role, all relevant sub-department regulations and policies, and JIG standards during refuelling duties.
* Liaising with business jet customers, based operators, and the FBO Department for fuel requirements.
* Reporting any fuel spillages, accidents, or potential risks accurately and promptly, in line with airport policies and SMS.
* Carrying out daily vehicle inspections to ensure all equipment is fully operational.
* Maintaining the tidiness and safety of the fuel farm environment.
* Working with the Airport Operations & Fuel Manager and Deputy Airport Fuel Manager to ensure fuel passes all quality control checks in accordance with CAA and fuel company regulations before dispensing, and managing aviation fuel deliveries from suppliers, including sampling, testing, and adhering to petroleum regulations.
* Issuing fuel receipts with costings upon completion of refuelling, including conversion calculations and tax implications.
Applicants must hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence due to the variety of vehicles used for aircraft refuelling. Please note that we reserve the right to close this advert early if sufficient applications are received. We encourage early submission of your application. #J-18808-Ljbffr
