Your new role
About the role
Overseeing the Planning process, you’ll exemplify our commitment to Health & Safety, and ensuring quality and best practice will be second nature to you. As a Senior Planner. you’ll be responsible for:
1. Produce construction programmes for internal and external use
2. Produce critical path analysis for projects as required
3. Assist project managers with production of detailed programmes
4. Produce labour and other resource loaded programmes to create overall projected resource requirements
5. Produce progress reports for monthly meetings
6. Produce tender programmes
7. Produce tender site investigation reports
8. Produce technical information for company pre-qualification presentations
9. Attend presentations when required
10. Train and coach the on-site management in planning techniques
11. Develop planning software use to meet the needs of the company and identify ways of improving our planning systems
12. Liaise with commercial and delivery teams to ensure that correct outputs are being utilised and that sub-contractor’s programmes are achievable
13. Produce Information Required Schedules and monitor to ensure each designer provides design information to meet both our procurement and construction programmes working closely with the site team
14. Produce Procurement Schedules working closely with the site commercial and delivery teams
15. Implement build ability reviews to reduce the cost to RCENW, improve the value to the Client and reduce programme time
16. Monitor all necessary consents to ensure they are obtained timeously in order that construction can proceed to programme, dealing with external third parties as necessary
17. Monitor the Reviewable Design Data process (RDD) and the Variation Request process (VR) to ensure programme is met by working closely with the Project Manager and SQS
18. Attend meetings with the Regional Team, site team, sub-contractors and Clients as necessary
19. Flag up any potential programme risks and suggest mitigation strategy to Project Manager/Regional Team
20. Build a close working relationship with the Robertson deliver staff
21. Provide planning advice into pre-construction workload as and when required
22. Follow Company Quality Management Procedures
About you
As a Senior Planner you’ll have experience in a Planning role or significant experience in front-end construction project management, with ability to operate at a strategic level, reviewing and developing procedures to reflect industry best practice. Knowledge of design, procurement and commercial processes, and the interdependencies and impact on planning and programming is essential. You’ll be ambitious and be able to pursue a career where you can grow and progress.
