News Reporter - GRR

Department: Content Editorial & Research

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: London

Description

We are looking for a News Reporter to join Global Restructuring Review GRR in our London office.

GRR is a leading news service for everyone who works in restructuring or insolvency, especially with a cross‑border element. We’re trusted by our readership to tell them everything they should know about all that currently matters.

Our UK-based reporters work with colleagues in the US to capture the attention of a worldwide readership. You’ll be part of a talented team that creates a daily news alert, covering everything from situations of impending corporate distress to creditor‑on‑creditor ‘violence’ and contentious insolvency such as the Thames Water case in the UK, recently. By being part of GRR, you’ll have immediate access to some of the best in the business, as you work on on‑diary and off‑diary stories. Often what we write about is covered by the mainstream press – but not in a way that is truly satisfying to those for whom it’s their job. GRR fills that gap. You will report from UK courtrooms and legal conferences, the latter of which provides substantial opportunities for international travel.

This is a unique opportunity to develop as a reporter. You’ll cover a highly specialist pursuit that is more and more at the heart of all our lives, as readably and approachably as possible, all the while honing your skills in a challenging but collegiate environment.

GRR reporters carve out successful, rewarding careers at the company and elsewhere. Our journalists have plenty of opportunities to progress within the team and take on additional responsibility, often choosing to stay at the company for several years as they advance to senior correspondent and editor roles. When GRR reporters choose to move on, they are never short of options.
