Role: Assistant Transport Manger
Location: Tottenham
Hours: Full time, Monday- Friday
Salary: £41,500
An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an Assistant Transport Manager to join our clients successful team.
Duties of a Assistant Transport Manager:
1. Plan routes and allocate resources efficiently
2. Support the Transport Manager with daily operations
3. Monitor deliveries and resolve issues
4. Ensure vehicles are safe, roadworthy and meet Health and Safety standards
5. Act as main point of contact for drivers
6. Schedule drivers and check compliance
7. Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
8. Maintain compliance with transport laws and regulations
9. Assist with audits, reports and KPI tracking
What we would like from you:
10. Experience in transport or logistics, preferably in supervisory role
11. Thorough understanding of transport compliance and regulatory requirements
12. Class 2 (Cat C) Driving License - required
13. Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
14. Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
15. Proficient with IT systems, including Excel and transport software
16. Strong leadership and communication skills
