Job Title: Finance Assistant – International Location: Rosyth, Fife (Hybrid working – 3 days office / 2 remote) Salary: £30,000 benefits annual bonus Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent AJ Connect is exclusively partnering with a global technology-led business headquartered in Fife to recruit a Finance Assistant for their international finance team. This is a key opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-performing environment that supports multiple entities across Europe. The Role You’ll play a hands-on role in ensuring the accuracy of Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger, and Banking processes for UK, French, and German operations. The role will also involve preparing and processing supplier payments, supporting intercompany reconciliations, and helping to maintain robust financial controls. Key Responsibilities Manage the shared finance inbox and ensure timely responses to supplier queries. Process purchase invoices using a three-way matching system across multiple international entities. Prepare weekly payment runs and ensure suppliers are paid accurately and to terms. Reconcile multiple bank accounts and post transactions in the ERP system. Process employee expenses and post entries to the general ledger. Resolve invoice and payment queries in collaboration with internal departments. Maintain vendor master data and reconcile supplier accounts. Clear GRNI and Return to Vendor (RTV) transactions weekly. Match and process credit notes. Support month-end close processes, including reconciliations and journals. Assist with inter-company postings and reconciliations. Step in to support Accounts Receivable and Credit Control during peak periods or holidays. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of finance policies, processes, and controls. About You HND or degree in Accountancy, or equivalent experience. Background in a fast-paced, customer-focused finance environment. Working knowledge of ERP systems (MS Dynamics preferred), online banking, and expense tools. Comfortable working independently and within cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
