Job Description:
Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to provide specialist support in a Primary Pupil Referral Unit in Longsight, Manchester.
Main Duties
* Support for pupils: Work with groups of children under the supervision of the teacher, supervise pupils excluded from or not following a normal timetable, attend to pupils' personal needs including minor first aid, and support their pastoral, social, health, hygiene, and welfare development. Participate in the comprehensive assessment of pupils, assist in developing and implementing Education/Behaviour/Support/Mentoring plans, support pupils with special needs, establish positive relationships, and develop 1:1 mentoring arrangements.
* Support for Teachers: Assist in maintaining a safe classroom environment, prepare the classroom for lessons, liaise with therapists and medical staff, and coordinate programmes of work, including integrating specialist advice into ILPs.

Previous Experience / Requirements
* Experience working with children/young people with SEND, behavioral difficulties, or complex learning needs
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience
* Ability to use relevant technology (e.g., photocopier)
* Knowledge of the national/foundation stage curriculum, behaviour management strategies, and support services
