Senior Sous Chef - Temporary Live in Accommodation Available
Mill End Hotel is an award winning luxury boutique hotel located just outside Chagford, we have 21 bedrooms and a 40 seat 2 AA Rosette restaurant, we pride ourselves in providing outstanding quality to our clients, for an affordable price and in a relaxed environment.
Our passionate team are seeking a Senior Sous Chef to join our 2 AA Rosette kitchen. You'll enter an environment that champions positivity and hard work. Operating in a beautiful location just outside Chagford, and a stones throw away from Dartmoor.
We have a close-knit team of talented individuals, you'll receive ongoing support and encouragement to take on new responsibilities and further your career if that's what you wish, or give you an environment whereby you can enjoy where you are currently at.
We try and do straight shifts for the majority of the time which will be 12/1pm until 10pm. We also try and ensure you have two days off together Depending on the time of year it's a 4 or 5 day working week.
On top of the £35,000 per annum you also get tips, which usually equates to over £2000 per year, AND a yearly bonus scheme that usually equates to over £300 per year

Tasks and responsibilities
1. To run and supervise the kitchen to the required standards set by the Head Chef in his absence
2. To ensure all preparation of the designated section is complete and ready for each service
3. Ensure good stock and waste control is practised
4. Be responsible for the quality control of stock and prepared foods
5. Execute cooking to the expected high standard quickly and efficiently
6. Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of designated section
7. Support head (sous) chef in delivering required standard of food
8. Maintain a positive and proactive attitude at all times and seek to improve and advance your skill set and performance
9. Comply with all health and safety regulations, the Staff Code of Conduct and company policies

Your experience has seen you:
* Develop a passion and enthusiasm for creating fantastic locally-sourced, seasonal food that 'wows' your guests.
* Showcase brilliant teamworking skills.
* Utilise excellent organisational skills.
* Gain a Food Hygiene Certificate, and ideally an NVQ Level 2
You will need to be able to get too and from the hotel easily. There is a potential for live in accommodation on a short term basis
