Job Introduction
Life Story Worker- Children's Services
Full time - Permanent
NJC Scale 5 - £29,064 - £31,022 per annum
Do you want to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people? As a Life Story Worker, you'll help children understand their personal journey by creating life story books and delivering therapeutic interventions that support emotional wellbeing and identity. This role is central to permanency planning—whether adoption, long-term fostering, or special guardianship—and involves working closely with carers, birth families, and professionals to ensure every child has a clear, positive narrative of their life.
You'll bring creativity, empathy, and resilience to a role that is as rewarding as it is impactful. By helping children make sense of their experiences, you'll empower them to build confidence, form healthy relationships, and look forward to a brighter future. If you're passionate about supporting children through trauma and transitions, this is your opportunity to be part of something truly meaningful.
