Do you have a passion for history and the drive to inspire the next group of students? A History teacher is sought to join a Secondary school in the Daventry area of Northampton.
This is a full time position. Start date: September 2025.
About the role
We would like you to engage our students and spark their curiosity. See how the past is relevant today. Allow the students to debate and challenge ideas using a wide range of evidence. Have a passion for all areas of History, from the History of Northampton to the African Kingdoms and the American Civil Rights Movement. You will be teaching Key Stage 3 and 4.
About the school
This is a position in the Secondary sector in Daventry. It is a fast paced secondary school for ages 11-16. You will have a supportive team to help you settle in successfully. We aim to give students skills for life through high quality learning and strive for them to become responsible, caring and active adults with the school values. Extracurricular activities are an essential feature of this school and staff are encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities that will improve students’ confidence and self-esteem.
