Overview
We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager or National Account Manager with a proven track record selling technology solutions to major high‑street retailers, quick‑service restaurants, leisure, or banking clients.
Salary & Benefits
Basic salary: GBP 50,000 – GBP 55,000.
* GBP 40,000 OTE commission (paid monthly)
* A company car (BMW 330e)
* Pension (minimum 5% company contribution)
* 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
* Full business expenses with company credit card
Location & Travel
Office based in the Midlands. The role requires travel across the southern UK, with 3–4 days on the road per week and 1–2 days at Head Office.
Commutable locations: Birmingham, Coventry, Oxford, Swindon, Bristol, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Peterborough, Cambridge.
Job Description
Reporting directly to the UK Sales Director, you will own the region south of Coventry, driving strategy and serving as the regional expert for new business acquisition and account development.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a GBP 4–6 million portfolio of accounts comprising household names across retail, grocery, banking and leisure.
* Balance time between managing existing accounts and securing new business.
* Achieve a GBP 1 million new business / growth target.
* Collaborate with the technical team and customers to develop technical solutions for complex needs.
* Lead commercial negotiations on high‑value projects.
* Provide market intelligence to shape UK strategy.
* Partner with an internal Business Development Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven track record managing key clients and securing new business, especially in national chains.
* Knowledge of UK retail, banking, QSR, hospitality, and/or leisure sectors.
* Experience selling goods not for resale – hardware and software such as POS, EPOS, cash handling, self‑checkout, payment solutions, etc.
