The Job Role Position:
As a result of increased demand and long-term contracts, the company is expanding its milling team and is seeking an experienced CNC Miller - Programmer / Setter / Operator.
You'll be responsible for taking jobs from drawing to finished component, programming directly at the machine using Fanuc controls, and machining a wide variety of parts in low to medium batch quantities. This is a role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, ownership, and technical variety.
Responsibilities include:
* Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines using Fanuc
* Writing and editing programs at the machine to suit each job
* Interpreting complex engineering drawings and tolerances
* Selecting tooling, workholding, and machining strategies
* Setting datums, offsets, and cutting parameters
* Machining a range of materials to tight specifications
* Inspecting components and maintaining high quality standards
* Supporting continuous improvement and process optimisation
The Candidate:
* At least 5 years' experience in CNC milling
* Proven background as a Programmer / Setter / Operator
* Strong working knowledge of Fanuc-controlled milling machines
* Confident machining varied, one-off and short-run components
* Quality-driven with a methodical approach to work
* Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of jobs
Education:
* GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Ability to Commute:
* Must be able to commute to the CV9 area
Ability to Relocate:
* Willing to relocate before starting work if required
