About the Role Humly is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENDCo to join a secondary school in Gateshead. This is a full-time position for the remainder of the academic year, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the provision and outcomes for pupils with SEND. This role is ideal for a passionate professional who can lead and manage SEND provision effectively, ensuring high standards of support, inclusion, and progress for all learners. Key Responsibilities * Lead the day-to-day implementation of SEND policy * Coordinate provision for pupils with SEND * Monitor and review the quality and impact of interventions * Ensure pupils with SEND make strong progress * Maintain high-quality SEND provision across all levels * Monitor teaching and support to uphold standards * Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice * Keep up to date with best practice and statutory requirements * Lead and manage the SEND team effectively * Set clear expectations and performance objectives * Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies * Ensure strong communication within the SEND team * Liaise with external professionals to enhance provision Requirements * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant SENDCo qualification * Experience working within a secondary school setting * Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice ...
