Ad – IT Support Assistant
We are looking for a motivated and collaborative IT Support Assistant to join our ICT Team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
As an IT Support Assistant, you will support the ICT Team with a wide range of day‑to‑day tasks, providing groupwide operational ICT, data and multi‑media support. You will act as a key contact for troubleshooting, system support and data‑related issues, helping the organisation maintain smooth, secure and efficient digital operations.
You will have a strong interest in technology, stay up to date with emerging developments, and deliver excellent service to internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
As part of our ICT Team, you will support the Head of ICT and work collaboratively across the business. Responsibilities include:
* Supporting ICT administration, testing and roll‑out of new technical and digital solution projects.
* Responding to ICT, data and social‑media related enquiries, providing solutions or escalating where necessary.
* Maintaining and updating team data records accurately, producing reports and supplying data as required.
* Delivering excellent customer service, handling incoming communications efficiently and providing appropriate resolutions and updates.
* Progressing reports and client queries promptly, demonstrating high standards of client care for both planned and unplanned technical issues.
* Collaborating with managers, business unit leads and L&D teams to deliver IT training and ensure policies are maintained.
* Monitoring the shared IT helpdesk inbox, responding and managing enquiries appropriately.
* Contributing to commercial strategies through research, system reviews and testing.
* Working collaboratively to build and deliver reporting systems and solutions.
* Implementing system changes, including creating and enhancing solutions using MS Power Automate, SharePoint and Microsoft .
* Promoting best practice across all business systems and applications, including data management.
* Building strong stakeholder relationships to support collaborative problem‑solving.
* Keeping the business updated on IT system changes, exploring wider opportunities to improve efficiency.
* Supporting the security and integrity of the Group’s ICT and data environment in line with legal and best‑practice standards.
* Assisting with the development, review and delivery of ICT and data policies that support the organisation’s strategic goals.
* Identifying opportunities for technology to support business growth and improve performance.
* Assisting with publishing content for web, intranet and social media.
* Ensuring data is processed and maintained in line with Data Protection and safeguarding legislation.
* Supporting laptop/mobile/tablet builds and providing IT onboarding/offboarding support.
* Assisting with provisioning access to business systems, cloud portals and mailboxes.
* Supporting troubleshooting of software and hardware issues, liaising with LBBD IT and suppliers where required.
* Maintaining an up‑to‑date asset register.
Qualifications, skills & experience:
Qualifications:
* GCSE English and Maths
* Relevant qualifications and/or certifications
Skills & Abilities:
* Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft and other key operating systems, with good understanding of app and multi‑media platforms.
* Ability to prioritise multiple deliverables with an analytical mindset.
* Experience working in a fast‑changing, customer‑focused environment.
* Ability to challenge established ways of working through facilitation and coaching.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong organisational abilities.
* A proactive, enquiring mindset with enthusiasm for using systems and processes to drive improvement.
* Commitment to staying up to date with best practice and technological advancements.
Working Arrangements:
* 12‑Month Fixed Term Contract
* Full‑time on Site at Dagenham (The Cube)
* Reports to: Head of ICT
* Salary - £25,
