Education Law Department Background:
Our education law team provides comprehensive legal advice and support to guardians, parents, and institutions. We assist with issues like unfair school exclusions, academy conversions, parental disputes, safeguarding, and social care matters, ensuring children receive appropriate educational support.
Main Responsibilities of the Role:
* Report directly to the Department Director
* Provide proactive client care with sensitivity and understanding
* Manage all aspects of Education Law cases, offering guidance to team members when needed
* Handle SEN matters, school admission appeals, and social care judicial reviews
* Assist with academy conversions, health and safety, parental disputes, and safeguarding issues
* Manage caseloads effectively and maintain accurate time records
* Ensure proper file management and compliance
Key Skills Required:
* Valid Practicing Certificate at application time
* Team player with adaptability and client care focus
* Proven supervisory experience and KPI awareness
* Proactive, professional, and sensitive in client dealings
* Strong networking and marketing skills to generate new business
* Initiative and sound judgment
* Solid understanding of Education Law, especially SEN and admission appeals
* Experience in education and adult social services
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management
