About the role: We are hiring for an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering Operations team based at CFC Dordon. Undertaking of day to day reactive and planned engineering maintenance activities and improvement works at the CFC. Working closely with Inbound, Outbound and other support teams to optimise availability and performance of the facility, and its MHE automation. You will work the day shifts 4 days per week to support continuous operations, benefiting from a competitive salary and benefits. Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned maintenance across the site in an accurate and timely and safe manner. Keep records of work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores, training etc. Work closely with other departments finding ways to increase machine reliability on existing and new equipment. Diagnose equipment breakdowns and action repairs where possible. Reporting and monitoring of data for automation and maintenance activities. Key Skills & Experience: Mechanical experience, preferably within an FMCG environment A natural problem solver, experienced in working with controls, analysing faults and providing solutions Good technical ability relating to automation hardware and software, ideally with some experience of both reactive and preventative maintenance Some working knowledge of automated warehouses and their technical components. Have an eye for detail; good problem solving ability and a practical approach. Good communicator with the ability to analyse and impart knowledge. Respond to tote jams on the conveyor systems.
