Are you an experienced HR Business Partner looking for an interim role in local government during a period of considerable transformation?


Who are we looking for?

We need an Interim HR Business Partner on a 12-month temporarycontract basis to strengthen our team during this significant period of organisational change. We need someone with significant experience of change management and TUPE, and a desire to deliver five star customer service in the context of an ambitious People Strategy


What will the role involve?

* Supporting a number of Senior leaders, leading in areas such as performance, change andabsence management, workforce/succession planning and leadership development.
* Evaluate and adapt the local delivery of HR services to ensurethey remain relevant and responsive to the changing needs of the business.
* Provide expert knowledge and advice to managers on a wide range of HR issues.
* Equip managers to maximise their people resources, workingwith them to effectively plan, adapt & develop as necessary, in line with workforce planning and recruitment.
* Provide advice and guidance to managers on strategies, plans, policies and terms &conditions.
* Support management in leadership development, advising, guiding and coaching toincrease their confidence and the ability to engage, develop and manage their staff.
* Contribute to the development of all HR strategies, plans, policies and processes.
* Support in HR project work across the department, includingworkstreams associated with Local Government Reorganisation (LGR).


What skills, knowledge and abilities do you require for the role?

* HR Business Partner experience, ideally from within a public sector organisation.
* Extensive experience in supporting leaders in change management, preferably in the context of Local Government Reorganisation (LGR).
* Experience in strategy development, complex ER case management and HR project work.
* Level 7 CIPD qualified (or working towards).
* Advanced IT and communication skills.
* Exceptional organisational andtime management skills with an eye for detail.
