Set in the middle of seven miles of golden sands, Bournemouth Pier is an iconic landmark with views of the Isle of Wight in the east to Studland and the isle of Purbeck in the west
Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chef looking to make the next step into a venue with huge opportunities. Key West is situated on the iconic Bournemouth Pier and open 7 days a week.
Key West serves lunch and dinner as well as afternoon teas, cream tea, selection of cakes. Key West is also a popular venue for dinner shows, parties and weddings.
Operations runs 7 days a week. Due to the coastal location, opening hours vary depending on the season and functions.
You will
Work very close to the operations manager, executive chef and Chief operations officer
Maintain and develop high standards of food service, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
Control stock levels, stock rotation and order suppliers as needed.
Be able to adapt to the fluctuations on demand and staff accordingly to the business seasonal requirements. Staff team could vary from 2, which might include yourself in quiet periods, up to 7 during the main season.
Train and develop the kitchen team to company standards.
Understand how food profit percentages work and how portion and wastage control affect them.
Plan and develop menus in collaboration with the restaurant management team.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into menu offering.
