Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Huyton (L36) to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to start in September 2026.

Staff work collaboratively to provide tailored interventions and maintain a structured, supportive setting, particularly for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Role Overview
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASC
* Assist in managing SEMH behaviours when required
* Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and developing social and communication skills
* Implement personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies
* Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
* Foster a safe, engaging, and structured learning environment
✅ Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience supporting children with ASC and/or SEMH needs
* Is patient, resilient, and adaptable
* Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Has a proactive approach to behaviour management
* Ideally holds a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent)
* Is passionate about making a difference in children's education
