Civil Engineer
My client is looking to hire someone to join their friendly Civils department. They provide services to a range of clients including infrastructure services, civil design, flood risk assessments and development planning.
Ideally the candidate will have a proven track record with a keen interest in the following:
* Foul and surface water drainage design
* Section 104/106/185 sewer adoptions / connections/ diversions
* Site level design
* Digital ground modelling including cut and fill
* Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
* Ordinary watercourse consent applications
* Major highways and estate roads design for Section 38 adoption
* Section 278 works including Junctions, crossings, roundabouts, bus stops etc
* Design of car parking and hard landscaping / external works
They are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate experience of developing clear, precise and coherent reports and drawings together with undertaking client facing roles and acting as a Project Manager. You will have personal interaction with clients answering their queries swiftly on the projects you are involved in. Whilst the above is preferable, there is always a chance for career development, training and learning new skills.
Requirements:
* HNC / Degree in Civil Engineering
* Good problem identification and solving skills
* Proficient with Causeway Flow/Microdrainage, Site3D and AutoCAD
* Good IT skills, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook etc
* Good communication and negotiation skills together with excellent customer service skills
* Can work well independently and as part of a team
* Reliable, dependable, punctual and self-motivated
