Are you a hands-on technical leader ready to drive delivery and innovation within a high-performing agile team? We're seeking a Tech Lead to guide a multidisciplinary scrum team working on impactful projects across government and national security domains.
About the Role
As Tech Lead, you'll lead a scrum team of 8-9 engineers including AWS, platform, and software specialists, alongside a dedicated Scrum Master. You'll be responsible for ensuring key milestones are met while remaining actively involved in development. This is a great opportunity for someone who identifies as a Senior Engineer or Lead Engineer and thrives in a collaborative, agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a cross-functional scrum team
* Drive technical delivery while remaining hands-on with development
* Collaborate with other tech leads and architects to align solutions
* Champion best practices and quality assurance
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members
Tech Stack
* Core: Java, AWS, C++
* Methodology: Agile (SCRUM or SAFe)
Requirements
* British citizen (dual nationals considered if British citizenship held for 10+ years)
* SC clearable (ideally already SC cleared)
* Eligible for DV clearance
* Available to start in September
Desirable Experience
* Scaled Agile certifications (e.g., SAFe, Scrum@Scale)
* Full-stack technical design
* Secure design and implementation
* Mentoring junior engineers
