Description
The Civil Litigation Solicitor will be:
* Handling a full caseload of debt recovery and insolvency matters from initial instruction through to conclusion
* Managing litigated claims efficiently and in line with procedural deadlines
* Drafting pleadings, applications, witness statements and other key legal documents
* Advising on litigation strategy, recovery routes and enforcement options
* Liaising with clients, internal stakeholders, courts and external agents
* Reviewing matters for settlement, escalation and insolvency action where appropriate
* Instructing barristers where advocacy support is required
* Supporting strong case progression, risk management and compliance standards
* Delivering a high standard of client service across a varied civil litigation caseload
Profile
The Civil Litigation Solicitor should be:
* A solicitor or equivalent with NQ+ PQE
* Experienced in civil litigation
* Confident managing files with appropriate supervision for level of experience
* Familiar with handling matters from instruction through to resolution
* Comfortable drafting legal documentation and corresponding with multiple parties
* Organised, commercially aware and able to prioritise a busy caseload
* A Fellow of CILEX with litigation rights will also be considered
* Interested in developing further within a specialist recoveries and disputes team
