Abatec are currently recruiting a CNC Machinist for our client in Cheddar. This role is a Permanent role with ongoing career progression opportunities, you will undertake machining works as directed by the department manager. * Monday to Friday * 08.00 - 17.00 (40-hour paid week) * Overtime available paid at 1.5 * Additional call-out rate available * Target bonus - up to 6 additional days holiday and sales targets as a team * Benefits package including life and health assistance. * Additional holiday day with each year of service * Long-term progression Key Duties: * Set up and operate manual & CNC milling and turning machines * Machine parts from drawings or samples * Select tooling, speeds, and feeds * Carry out one-off and batch work * Inspect components using precision measuring tools * Repair shafts and journals * Maintain machines and safe working practices Requirements: * Proven machining experience (milling & turning essential) * Ability to read engineering drawings * Knowledge of machining tolerances, speeds, and feeds * Experience with ferrous & non-ferrous materials * CNC experience advantageous * On-call/rota availability...
