Substance Misuse Recovery Worker (12 Month FTC)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join the team at HMP Lindholme, a Category C male adult prison based in Doncaster, with operational capacity of around 900.
Join the Recovery Team and empower those whom wish to make changes in their behaviour to promote health and well-being through recovery from drugs and alcohol.

This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care.

This role is being offered on a 12 Month fixed term contract, covering maternity leave.

Hours:

This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shifts are 8am - 4pm.

Salary:

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary of up to £32,346 dependent on experience

What you'll be doing

As our new Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

* Delivering outstanding care to psychosocial patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback - ensuring that their care is personalised and tailored to the individual
* Manage a caseload of patients with varying needs, including substance misuse, mental health, trauma etc
* Providing a programme of psychosocial interventions and comprehensive assessments
* Provide information and advice on substance misuse, alcohol, smoking cession, blood borne viruses and safe sex practices
* Prepare patients for release and transfer
* Delivering care on a 1-1 basis as well as group sessions
* Assisting the healthcare team across other pathways as needed

* Have experience within a healthcare setting, ideally a prison / secure environment

* Any SystmOne experience would be a bonus
