Salt is working with a North London local authority to recruit a skilled SEND Data & Performance Analyst for an initial 3-month contract. This role sits within the People department and focuses on performance monitoring, statutory reporting, and dashboard development for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services.
You’ll play a key role in improving service insight by transforming raw SEND data into meaningful performance dashboards, aligning with national benchmarks, and enabling effective planning and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the quality, integrity, and storage of data captured by the SEND Service
* Design and maintain performance dashboards (ideally in Power BI) to support reporting and service improvement
* Extract, analyse, and report on KPIs and service outcomes in line with statutory and operational priorities
* Benchmark data against regional and national datasets, including statistical neighbours
* Work collaboratively with SEND teams, partners, and data providers to ensure robust, joined-up reporting
Required Experience:
* Proven experience working in a local government or public sector setting with a focus on SEND or Children’s Services
* Strong working knowledge of Power BI, Excel, and SQL for reporting and dashboard development
* Experience handling statutory SEND returns and knowledge of the DfE SEND Code of Practice
* Confident in data quality assurance, governance, and process improvement
* Able to present complex data clearly to non-technical audiences
* 3-month rolling contract, full-time (35 hours/week)
