Who you'll be supporting & more about the role:
Are you seeking a career that offers variety and is rewarding? Do you enjoy working with people and want to make a real difference? This could be the ideal job for you! We currently have opportunities for caring, enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our team in Aberdeen City. In this role you will be supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities to live independently in their own homes and work with a tailored care and support plan to meet each individual's needs. The people we support are fun loving and active in the community enjoying many activities such as swimming, dancing, gym, eating out, arts & crafts, music and gardening. The support in this service includes medication management, dietary support, communication, autism, epilepsy and dysphraxia. All staff are trained in Epilepsy, Medication and Autism Awareness. Support Workers should have an awareness and understanding of the training offered and maintain this to a high standard. Shifts vary including early, late and a waking night. There are 2 or 3 staff on shift at one time, there is also one to one support at set times for each person we support. We are looking to fill a 21 hour post.
