Job Title: Tractor Operator – Highways & Vegetation Maintenance
Location: Based in Billericay, Essex (jobs up to 1.5 hours away)
Salary:
1. Tractor Operator - £40,000 - £45,000 per annum,
2. Team Leader (SSSTS) - £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Shifts: Monday - Friday (Night shifts: 6:30pm – 4:30am, occasional day shifts: 8:00am – 4:30pm)
80-85% of the work is on night shifts – so flexibility is essential! Most nights are job and knock, meaning early finishes once the work is done, and Fridays often finish earlier too.
Please note - You must hold a full UK Driving Licence to be considered for this position
About The Role -
We're looking for Tractor Operators to join a specialist team maintaining Highways, A-roads, and Motorways across Essex and surrounding areas.

What We're Looking For -
We need switched-on, keen, and motivated individuals who take pride in their work. You'll need to be reliable, flexible, and willing to get stuck in. A basic understanding of grounds maintenance is ideal, but training can be provided for the right candidates.

3. Tractor mowing & flail operations
4. Ride-on mowing & robotic mowing
5. Hedge cutting & brush cutting
6. General grounds maintenance & vegetation clearance
Desired Qualifications -
7. CSCS Card
8. ROLO Card (BALI H&S)
9. Highways England Passport
10. Safety Critical Medical
11. Relevant tickets – Brushcutter, Chainsaw, Ride-on Mower, or similar

13. End-of-year overtime review – if you work over 2,500 hours, you'll get paid extra!
14. No work on bank holidays or the Friday before a bank holiday
15. Most Friday nights finish early
