The Role
As a Maintenance Technician/Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the factory running at its best. You’ll carry out a balance of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs, ensuring production lines are efficient, reliable, and downtime is kept to a minimum.
This is a varied, fast-paced role where you’ll problem-solve, work with modern equipment, and make a real impact every day.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out preventative maintenance on food production equipment

Respond swiftly to breakdowns and restore machinery performance
*
Diagnose mechanical/electrical faults and implement long-term solutions
*
Work closely with production teams to support output and efficiency
*
Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement
*
Ensure all work complies with health & safety standards
About You
We welcome applications from both experienced Maintenance Technician/Engineers in food/FMCG and skilled technicians from other industries (manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, military, etc.) who are keen to move into food production.
Ideally, you’ll bring:

Engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
*
Mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
*
Experience with conveyors, packaging equipment, or automated systems (advantageous, not essential)
*
A proactive, problem-solving approach and eagerness to learn
