Our client is a business based in Stoke on Trent. Due to their success, they are expanding and seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their small accounts team. This role will support the Financial Controller and manage day-to-day accounts functions such as Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and bank reconciliations. The role offers opportunities to develop skills and gain experience.
Job Description for the Finance Assistant role:
* Supporting the Financial Controller with daily transactional duties within Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger
* Investigating discrepancies
* Bank reconciliations
* Entering information onto Excel spreadsheets and producing reports
* General support in other areas of finance and all-round activities
* Dealing with stock sheets, entering information, and reporting
Preferred Candidate Profile:
* Experience using accounting software
* Proven experience within an accounts function
* Ideally AAT qualified
* Strong team player
* Flexible approach
* Good skills in Excel and MS Office packages
* High attention to detail
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum + Company Bonus
