Assistant Schools Support Manager
Grade D – £45,091 – £51,356; Fixed Term Contract until 31 August 2027. Consultation grade subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review.
We are looking for a dedicated professional to support Birmingham School Governors. This role involves providing advice, guidance and training to governors and clerks across nurseries, primary, secondary, special schools, academies and centres throughout the city.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure governors, clerks and Head Teachers receive advice and support to meet statutory governance requirements and promote good practice.
* Deliver training and development for governors and clerks.
* Engage effectively with internal and external agencies and work independently with a proactive approach to service delivery.
* Respond decisively to governors, clerks and Head Teachers’ requests and build strong working relationships with schools.
* Undertake special projects as required.
Requirements
Experience in school governance or related educational support is preferred.
