Williams Advanced Engineering offers a 13-month student placement within our Performance Simulation team, from August 2023 to September 2024. This role involves working with experienced engineers on innovative projects aimed at accelerating electric and sustainable vehicle technologies. Successful placements often lead to graduate roles.
Applicants should be pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aeronautical Engineering (or similar), with strong Matlab skills and experience in Simulink modeling. Knowledge of electric powertrains, battery systems, vehicle dynamics, and source control systems is advantageous. Essential qualities include problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities include:
* Performing simulations across various engineering sectors such as off-highway, automotive, and rail.
* Setting up and developing performance simulations, including drive-cycle and dynamic lap simulations, and co-simulation using Simulink.
* Supporting data creation, analysis, and reporting.
* Analyzing and summarizing simulation results and presenting findings.
