This post is based at Prince Charles Eye Unit, King Edward VII Hospital, St Leonards Road, Windsor, SL4 3DP and attracts a Fringe payment of 5% of gross basic salary. The unit provides specialist day case ophthalmology surgery with quality and safety of care at the forefront. Responsibilities
To help coordinate the skilled care of patients within the surgical theatre specialty, demonstrating expertise in all aspects of care of patients. As required, to provide direct support to clinicians and patients. To contribute to the management of the specialty by acting as a professional role model, able to confidently lead a team.
Qualifications and experience

* RN or RODP
* Mentorship or teaching and assessing qualification
* Post registration qualification/module in anaesthetics and/or surgery and/or recovery and/or HDU
* Advanced Life Support certification
* Able to demonstrate considerable experience in anaesthetics and/or surgery and/or recovery
* Experience of teaching and assessing
Desirable criteria
* Evidence of professional development
* Experience in team leading
