We are a respected engineering consultancy expanding across the East Midlands, seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of design experience to deliver complex residential and commercial schemes. This role offers genuine hybrid flexibility, project ownership, and a clear pathway to Senior Engineer or Chartered status.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Design Production: produce detailed designs, drawings, and calculations for site infrastructure, including highways, drainage systems, and earthworks.
* Adoption Specialist: deliver technical work to meet all statutory adoption standards, focusing on key agreements such as S278, S38, and S104.
* Project Support: contribute to schemes from initial planning and feasibility stages through detailed design.
* Stakeholder Liaison: work closely with clients, architects, contractors, and local authorities to ensure smooth project delivery and approvals.
Essential Skills and Expertise
* A degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
* 4+ years of demonstrable design experience within a UK consultancy environment.
* Strong technical knowledge of highway design, drainage strategies, and earthworks principles.
* Proficiency with design standards, including DMRB, Manual for Streets, and local adoption processes.
* Experience with key design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D (or Site 3D), and hydraulic modelling packages (e.g., Flow or MicroDrainage).
* Excellent communication and professional problem‑solving skills.
