Front of House Officer (Casual)

About the Role
The Building Operations team is responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the building, providing a consistently high level of customer service, for a building with many uses.
The Front of House Officer will contribute to a highly efficient team and ensure the building is fully operational during scheduled opening hours.
This position is offered as a casual worker contract, and work will be offered on an as-needed basis. This position would suit an individual who is interested in a flexible working arrangement and willing to work evenings and weekends, with additional hours on occasion.
As part of the selection process, there will be a recruitment day on the28th of May. Attendance is essential to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the smooth, safe running of all activity at MCD.
* Ensure all front and rear of house areas are presented to the highest standards, secure and compliant with health and safety standard.
* Act as a key point of contact in the building, delivering the highest level of customer service, both to internal and external customers.
* Assist in preparing the building for events including set ups and pack down; to ensure all spaces are presentable, safe and are maintained pre- and post-event.
* Work effectively as part of the Building Operations team, and provide cover as required during break times or for shift requirements.
Key Selection Criteria
* Experience of working in Building Operations, Front of House, Events or Venue Management, in a customer facing role in a busy customer-orientated environment.
* Ability to work to a shift pattern including early morning, evening and weekend shifts and provide a reliable service.
* Ability to take on ad hoc manual handing tasks, for example stacking and moving chairs on a trolley.
* Ability to learn new processes, workflows and develop a good understanding the key requirements and deliverables.
* Ability to build positive working relationships with co-workers and other internal and external contacts.
